From the Wellington City Mission:

As a keen Table Tennis player, we’d like you to be the first to know about the next Movies with the Mission film preview we have secured for 2013.

Ping Pong – is an inspiring documentary feature film which follows 8 senior citizens from around the world – with 703 years between them – competing for gold in the Over 80 Table Tennis Championship in Inner Mongolia. It is as much about the tenacity of the human spirit as about the game and age of the players. Described by British critics as “the cinema event of the year…warm, touching, funny.”

Fittingly funds raised go to support our Mission for Seniors work.

We‘d love you to join us from 8pm on Thursday 4 July at the Penthouse Cinema & Café Brooklyn, for a chat and a glass of wine, with the screening commencing at 8.30pm.
(run time 75 minutes)

Tickets are $25 and include a glass of wine and some sweets to enjoy during the movie.

Bring some extra cash so you can buy a raffle ticket to win a hamper donated by Ruth Pretty or a night at the Bay Plaza Hotel. Or both!

Or you can make a night of it!

The Penthouse are offering free parking on a first come basis for the evening if you dine with them on their ‘2 for $30’ Thursday meal deal. You will need to book dinner by calling them directly on 384 3157.

The first 100 tickets purchased go into a draw for a free meal on the night if purchased before 21 June.

To purchase your tickets please email me anne@wgtncitymission.org.nz and I will be back in touch with payment options.

Hope to see you on 4 July.
