The tournament was held at the Empire Club in Petone. There was a brother/sister double success as Chun-Kiet Vong won the Singles and Hui-Ling Vong won the Women Singles. A triumph for these two juniors who play Premier Grade in the Wellington Interclub Competition. Only the singles were held this year with insufficient time to hold the teams event.

In the Singles Chun-Kiet Vong beat Catherine Zhou in the final 3-0 (11-9 11-7 11-8). Catherine raced to an early lead in the first game only for Chun-Kiet to come back and narrowly win the first game. He was in command in the next 2 games, showing the form that won him this years North Island Under 18 Boys Singles. The Semi-Finals saw Chun-Kiet Vong beat Martin Young 3-0 (11-4 11-8 11-8) and Catherine Zhou beat Hui-Ling Vong 3-1 (9-11 11-6 13-11 11-6). Martin Young won the playoff for 3rd place when he beat Hui-Ling Vong 3-1 (11-7 13-11 4-11 11-7).

In the Women Singles Hui-Ling Vong beat Catherine Zhou 3-1 (11-7 4-11 11-6 11-7). A good win for this years NZ Under 13 Girls Singles Champion against the 2012 & 2013 NZ Women’s Double Champion.

The Singles Plate was won by Bong Ting who beat William Tan 3-0 (12-10 11-4 11-5).
